In the beginning of December was the last round of Greek offroad championship in Athens area.
Bulgaria was represented by four competitors wit ATV and five competitors with cars 4x4.
There were over 60 competitors with jeeps, motorcycles and ATV. The task for Bulgarian team was to take the top places and to fight for annual ranking.
In both days the tracks were with total distance around 300 km., but heavy rain and floods made the situation very difficult for organizers and competitors.
Swollen rivers put to the test resourcefulness of crews, and here the Bulgarians have shown that there is nothing which can surprise them.
With ATV Todor Hristov was the main contender for the title and Petar Cenkov was fighting for front positions. Both of them are pilots of “Zundert Extreme” with the last model of Can-Am Renegade 800 XC , and in Bulgarian Championship Hristov is first, Cenkov is third for 2009.
After the race in extremely heavy rain, fog, mud, torrents and floods, Hristov and Cenkov finished with big advantage. Third was Mladen Vachkov – Bulgarian pilot, debutant in international competitions. At the end Todor Hristov became a champion of Greece in offroad and Petar Cenkov became vice-champion.
Next aim of both participants is competing in European Baja Championship in 2010.
